Regenera Micrograft Hair is one of the most popular hair restoration techniques today, widely accepted by hair transplant clinics in many countries. It offers an alternative for those struggling with genetic hair loss or thinning hair, without the need for medication or surgery. This technique has seen continuous technological advancement. At the recent IMCAS 2025 (International Master Course on Aging Science), the new model of the Regenera Activa device was introduced. Let’s take a look at what’s new, what makes it interesting, and how its performance differs from previous versions.

What is Regenera Micrograft Hair?
Regenera Micrograft Hair is a regular treatment at The Skin Clinic, which ranks among the top 5 clinics in Thailand for using this technique. Additionally, Dr. Top, an American Board-certified specialist in hair follicle transplant surgery, received an international award at the Global Innovation in Aesthetic Dermatology 2024 for his work with the Regenera Micrograft Hair technique.
Steps of the Regenera Micrograft Hair Procedure
- Hair follicle cells are selectively extracted from the back of the scalp using a specially designed micro-instrument, developed by the medical team at The Skin Clinic. This method leaves no stitches and suture removal.
- The extracted follicles are then processed using a specialized device that is certified by the US FDA, European authorities, and Thailand’s health authorities, ensuring safety and efficacy.
- The processed follicle cells are injected back into targeted areas of the scalp to stimulate hair follicle activity and repair weakened roots, promoting increased hair growth and thickness. Visible results typically begin to appear within 45 to 90 days.

What are the Benefits of the Regenera Micrograft Hair Technique?
- Safe and allergy-free, as the treatment uses the patient’s own hair cells
- Stimulates the activity of hair follicle cells
- Reduces hair shedding, helping minimize hair loss and breakage
- Strengthens hair strands, making them thicker and healthier
- Single treatment session, no need for multiple repeated procedures
- No downtime, with a fast procedure that takes approximately 1–2 hours
- Approximately 50% effectiveness in visible results
How is the New Regenera Activa Innovation Different from the Previous Model?
The Regenera Activa technology has been continuously developed and is certified by both European and international standards, reflecting a strong commitment to improving treatment quality and safety. The latest model, named “EVO,” was recently unveiled. Although it maintains a similar design to its predecessor, the internal technology has been significantly upgraded.

The EVO device has been enhanced to deliver more precise and efficient hair restoration, with a faster processing time that reduces the duration needed to extract cells. The shorter the extraction time, the better the quality of the harvested cells, which in turn enhances the effectiveness of exosomes. Especially, the stem cell therapy capacity has been upgraded from 50 billion to 70 billion cells, and the new technology increases cell survival rates up to 90%, resulting in significantly improved treatment outcomes.
Although it generally takes about one year to see full results, visible improvements can begin as early as the first month, and in some cases, changes are noticeable within 2 weeks. On average, results become apparent within 1–3 months, depending on the individual's hair and scalp condition.

Because hair loss and thinning should be treated promptly for the best results, the new generation of Regenera Activa marks a significant advancement in hair restoration technology and is certainly one to watch. Once this EVO technology receives official approval from Thailand’s FDA, The Skin Clinic will be ready to introduce the EVO device and offer it as part of its treatment services.
