Thailand’s medical industry has gained global recognition. “Dr. Top, Dr. NUTTORN NARUPAVES”, an American Board-certified surgeon specializing in hair follicle transplantation, is the first Thai doctor in history and the only one win the Winner Award in the Best Hair Restoration category at the world-renowned Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC), an international congress on aesthetics and anti-aging medicine held in Monaco from March 27–29, 2025, with over 20,000 doctors and experts from around the world in attendance
In this competition, thousands of doctors from all over the world submitted their cases, undergoing selection by a panel of esteemed specialists in various fields, along with votes from over 20,000 peers or knowledgeable professionals in the field across 12 categories. Out of 1,000 submitted cases, 220 were selected for the final round before being shortlisted to 100 nominees, and only 28 doctors advanced as finalists. Dr. Top was the only hair transplant surgeon from Thailand and Asia to be selected as one of the six finalists, competing against six peers from 5 countries: the United Kingdom, Thailand, Brazil, Ecuador, and Ireland, before successfully winning the AMWC Award for Best Clinical Cases
The case presented in the Hair Restoration category involved a 37-year-old female patient suffering from severe baldness caused by third-degree burns over 2 large areas, making it an extremely difficult case. Dr. Top treated the patient using a Combination Technique, first stimulating the scalp before transplantation with the patient’s own fat cells using the Nano Fat technique and the patient’s own hair follicle cells using the Autologous Micrograft technique, alongside Long Hair FUI transplantation, which does not require shaving, and post-transplant follicle stimulation with the Exosome Rich Plasma technique

I hope this serves as inspiration for my fellow professionals to continue developing Thailand’s medical further.” Over the past two decades, Dr. Top has been invited as a guest speaker on hair transplantation both in Thailand and internationally, including in the United States, Turkey, Japan, France, and Monaco, and has also won awards on the global stage, earning him recognition as a world-renowned speaker in hair transplant surgery and gaining international recognition
This achievement is proof of Dr. Top’s dedication to integrating knowledge and developing new innovations, as well as specialized techniques to improve the treatment of hair and scalp disorders with greater effectiveness. Even in cases that are difficult to treat, he has been able to achieve satisfactory results have been recognized by the global medical community, marking a significant step in positioning Thailand at the forefront of the international hair transplant surgery industry
